Marianna Leivaditaki Pop-Up

Join Caro in welcoming Marianna Leivaditaki to Bruton for a Greek influenced meal at The Space. Perhaps you fancy taking a long lunch with crisp Greek wines to accompany your 4 course meal or maybe you'd prefer to see in the evening at an ambient dinner with an Aegean Spritz. Either way, Marianna has a warm and welcoming style of cooking that will fill your hearts and stomachs.

Marianna Leivaditaki is a born storyteller. Whether that be through her food or the memories of her upbringing in Crete, Greece, you can’t help but be swept up in the romance that emanates from her life. No stranger to hard work, Marianna grew up tying hooks for her fisherman father and gutting the fish he brought home which would later be on the menu as the catch of the day for their family restaurant, ‘Adonis’.

Head chef at the North African/Spanish influenced restaurant Moro, for 12 years, Marianna opened their third restaurant Morito, in 2016 where she brought not only her inspired flavours but her warmth and generous spirit.

Her beautiful book, ‘Aegean | Recipes from the Mountains to the Sea’ is crammed with pictures of fresh and colourful dishes, all with a bright sun shining on the plate. Sardines wrapped in newspaper, white tablecloths, wedges of lemon and piled herbs sit amongst a personal visual story of her family and the arid countryside she grew up in alongside the mountain goats, white washed buildings and lime trees.

The meal will take place on the 27th November at The Space, you can purchase tickets here.
