Waffle in Bermondsey

Posted by on

A striking bakery has opened in London designed by Eley Kishimoto and Studio Maclean. Black and yellow waffle graphics cover the walls from floor to ceiling transforming the space into what must feel like a giant bird cage. This Bermondsey store is the second from Melanie Southerden, a classically trained chef who now specialises in beautifully crafted sweet and savoury pastries made with the finest of organic ingredients. The cafe and patisserie offers a made-to-order service plus workshops but also sells the raw ingredients for you to try your hand at a baking masterpiece at home.
