Poor design is irritating at the best of times. It must be even more irritating for the physically impaired who often are confronted with functional design that is left ill-considered not only on a product level but on an aesthetic level too. ChopChop, designed by Dirk Biotto, is a kitchen bench with customising capabilities for those with disabilities, or not. With an adjustable counter, peg-board back, embedded grater, open storage and vice, the components can be completely modified for accessibility and cooking with ease. Functional does not mean archaic design.
