THIS WAY Bath map
Bath to Trowbridge map begins in the historic city of Bath. Now a world heritage site, Bath is uniquely preserved and boasts untouched Georgian architecture, along with its Roman spa. It sits on the southern edge of the Cotswolds but it is the Avon Valley to the south-east that we have chosen to explore.
Route One begins by following the Bath Skyline out of town and over Claverton Down. The villages of Monkton Combe, Freshford and Avoncliff lead you into Bradford on Avon through the Barton Farm Country Park but not before passing a pub or two.
Route Two takes you out of Bath along the canal and up through Sally in the Woods – reputed to be haunted. It’s a flatter plain across fields between here and Bradford on Avon, where the route takes you though this picturesque town and out along the river and canal into the working town of Trowbridge.
Points of interest on this map include cycling tunnels, underground bunkers, bat conservation areas and the best places to go for a swim in the river. We have also included foraging information as there are so many things you can eat in this landscape.
